Pan Xiaoting vs Chen Siming - Women's Billiard World 9-Ball Pool Championship 2017 Pan Xiaoting (simplified Chinese: 潘晓婷; traditional Chinese: 潘曉婷; pinyin: Pān Xiǎotíng; born 25 February 1982; sometimes incorrectly referred to in the Western media as Xiaoting Pan and nicknamed "Queen of Nine-Ball") is the first-ever female professional pool player from China to play full-time on the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) tour. Pan's growing list of achievements in billiards, as well as her beauty, have made her one of the most famous female athletes in her country. Pan was named WPBA Rookie of the Year in 2006 and finished the season ranked #13. Pan won her first WPBA tournament at the 2007 Great Lakes Classic.[1] Later she won the 2007 WPA World Nine-ball Championship[2] held in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Pan is a friendly rival of fellow Asian WPBA player Kim Ga-young; the two met in the finals of the 2007 Carolina Women's Billiard Classic, with Kim prevailing 7 to 6 in the WPBA's first all-Asian championship match.[3] Kim and Pan finished the 2007 WPBA season ranked #2 and #3, respectively, behind perennially top-ranked Allison Fisher. Pan is also a good friend of Chinese snooker player Ding Junhui. In 2008, Pan won the BCA GenerationPool.com title on the WPBA tour, and in 2010 added a WPBA major to her resume at the Tour Championships. She went undefeated in Niagara Falls that year defeating Kim Ga-young of South Korea in the semi-finals 7-6, and Karen Corr of Northern Ireland 7-4 in the final. In December 2013, Pan participated in an exhibition match(9-ball and snooker) against snooker ace Ronnie O'Sullivan in Yanzhou, which she won 7–6 in 9-ball and lost 2-1 in snooker 6-red Chen Siming (born December 30, 1993) is a Chinese pool player from Shanghai. She won the 2017 Gold Medal at the World Games. After reaching the round of 16 at the China Open and the 9-Ball World Championship in 2009, Chen finished third at the 2010 Amway World Open. In August 2010, she managed the first major tournament victory when she defeated in the final of the China Open surprisingly, the multiple world champion Allison Fisher. A few days later, she reached the quarter-finals at the 9-Ball World Cup. In March 2011, Chen reached the final of the Amway World Open and was defeated by South Korean Kim Ga-young. In early 2014, Chen took third place in the WPBA Masters and Amway World Open. At the China Open 2014 she dropped out in the semifinals against Kim.
